About the 9/11 Attacks...

Set aside what you think you know about the 9/11 attacks and know this: in 1911, a group of Atlantean demigods headed by King Petyr Flamesteam and his wife, Queen Osane, met in the city of Archangelsk, Russia. They had witnessed the decline of humanity and the moral depravity that threatened to destroy their exiled race. After careful consideration, the demigods decided to give humanity a second chance to basically get their act together and stop their bad behavior. As you can see, after that meeting, two world wars broke out, over 25 million people were killed, and to make matters worse, incurable diseases ran rampant through the world, killing many more people. Plus, there was the violence that took the lives of many more people. This angered the demigods so much that they decided that humanity needed to be punished. So, what's this blog about? Well, I’m glad you asked, because I’ve got some explaining to do in terms of the Changing Fire Universe: The Changing Fire Universe centers on the events that take place after the 9/11 attacks in New York and Washington DC. A group of Atlantean demigods declare war on the United States as that country struggles to recover after the attacks. While the United States strikes back against its enemies, the demigods work to destroy the country and its allies through plagues, epidemics, and disasters. At the same time, a group of Ainysians struggle to defend the United States (and humanity) against the wrath of the demigods, seeing as not all Americans should be blamed for the sins their ancestors committed since the country's founding. Also, the Trichenberg family (descended from an Ainysian rebel) must decide if they should defend humanity or allow the demigods to destroy them.
